God uses UAM student to heal a mad man in benin (see details)

A sincere and steadfast believer of God identified as Ayokunle Abiodun who happened to be a student of university of agriculture, makurdi was used by God to deliver a mad man from the shackles and bondage of madness

Ayo as he is fondly called narrated the story on Facebook

Jesus
Jesus
Jesus
I can and will keep shouting this powerful name...
Am still yet to recover from this wonder...
Well in the picture is Mr Joseph Abiodun who hails from Benin in Edo state.
I went to the church for a prayer meeting and evangelism. I was paired with a partner but my partner since we finished the prayer very late suggested we leave our own evangelism till Friday(2/02/2018) by 5pm. Which I agreed to. As I was walking home just not too far from the church,I sighted this mad man in a Bush breaking sticks. Of course when you see a mad man,you should walk away. Which I did. But the holy spirit ministered to me to go and pray for him. I refused and continued walking home. Maybe I was just being compassionate and was talking to myself. But as I kept walking further the voice became stronger. So I had to retrace my steps. I walked into the bush suddenly my fear was disappearing, have not had that kind of faith since i became a christian. I confronted him while he was cooking in the bush and told him Jesus has sent me to set him free.
As I prayed I knew I was no longer the one talking, I can't tell or express how I was feeling but I was under an influence. I commanded him in the name of Jesus to come and he came closer. I prayed in few words and Lo and behold he fell to his face. And the lord said he is free. After interaction with him he is confirmed healed. Onlookers who knew him said he has been on the street in madness for more than four years. They were surprised and kept asking him several questions, and with eloquence he replied them all. He has now bathed, has worn clothes, fed, barbed and now resting in the church premises.

New date of resumption for FUAM students set to be fixed soon as unions relax strike regulations (see details)

This was posted on the campus gist paper page

The Joint congress of the Non-Academic staff unions of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi which held today 8th January, 2018 at the New Engineering Auditorium, north core axis of the Institution has ended on a positive note as the striking  unions have resolved to allow some of her members offering essential services to the students in areas of electricity and water supply provide such services for the consumption of students of the institution.

This resolution became imperative owing to the negative effect of the sustained closure of the University owing to the strike after the yuletide break which poses a major threat to the instability of the academic calendar as well as adversely affecting the students who have been unable to return to campus like their contemporaries across the country in pursuance of their academics.

The leadership of the Unions and her members have thus extended their hand of fellowship in the best interest of the education of the Nigerian child and the University of Agriculture, Makurdi by allowing some of her members to attend to the aforementioned services on campus.

However all other staff members of the unions would continue with the strike action in line with the directive of the National Executive Council (NEC).

Students who keenly waited to hear the resolutions from Monday's JAC Congress are in euphoria over the results and remain hopeful that an announcement would be made by the University Administration as to when the Campus would be reopened in Ernest following this development.

Commending the resolution of JAC. many students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi have communicated with Campus gist 'paper to register their appreciation to the unions on what they term "a selfless consideration of the future of education in their institution".

The students are also hopeful that the Federal government of Nigeria will soon respond positively to their demands to enable a full suspension of the ongoing strike for normalcy to return to Nigerian Universities.

Emerging news: Benue state University on the Verge of Closure (see details)

This was posted by the BSU CAMPUS Publicity Secretary Lubem Terkula

Following the resolution that Pave way for the just concluded Asuu strike BsuChapter and the state government, that the Earn academic allowance EAA be paid from the Internal Generating Revenue of the University which at this point in time the University is running out of Capital to Fund the University

The VC Prof. Msugh Mose kembe has move to call a press conference to educate and enlighten the stakeholders in particular and the students in general about the Financial Position of the University.

BSU, being a public institution, is financed from grants from the State Government, which is no longer Coming, also heavily relies on school fees from its students and other Internally Generated Revenues to pay her Staff EAA.

The State University under the leadership of Prof. Msugh kembe, when he came on Board, saw this coming went on quickly to increase the school fees which was proven abortive.

I wish to confirm that the University has not increased its school fees despite the Economic Recession. The University remains one of the few State owned institutions that charge modest fees. In all matters concerning our students, their interests remain my Paramount Consideration.

The VC Expressed Worries and Fears that if things continues this way he is Afraid the University will shut down soon, I mean very Soon.

And that parents of most defaulting students had given them their schools fees but maintained that the students had spent the monies while some diverted their fees to the MMM Scheme, Bet 9ija and others.

It is, however, disheartening to note that the University has discovered that despite the fact that the University operates an enviable stable academic calendar, mobilises its graduating students Youth Service without delay, many of our students still owe school fees running to One point Five Billion Naira.

If this trend continues, there is no way the University could perform its Financial Responsibilities.

See crazy and hilarious photos of UAM students as they mark rag day today

As part of the activities of the Students union week, the students of university of agriculture, makurdi marked their rag day. It was crazy and hilarious as students wore
well designed torn clothes.

Rag day is a voluntary charity work in the form of fund raising campaign for the less privileged in our society by Nigeria higher institutions . Ragging is part of the students union week where everybody adorns rags in a less sensible manner and storm the street in a bid to raise funds for charity.

Even the Students Union president, Pine David was adorned in rags as he took part fully in the ragging

UAM EXAMS SHIFTED TO 24TH JULY, SCHOOL FEES SLASHED TO 60-40%. (SEE DETAILS)

The management of University of Agriculture has resolved and to shift the first semester examination which was slotted for 17th July to 24th July.

This resolution became necessary to allow time for students to pay their school fees and avert the imminent breach of peace which became obvious based on students threats and in consideration to the appeal of the great majority.

Students who are yet to pay their school fees are however to note that this grace is to allow us to be able to atleast raise 60% of our respective tuition fees (you can still pay the full payment if you have) and pay on or before Friday, 21st July to be allowed to sit for exams by Monday 24th July.

Much Kudos to the Student_Union_EXCO_ELECT.
