MORE REACTION POURS IN FOLLOWING THE "YOU BELONG TO MY KITCHEN" SPEECH

Mr President has earlier made a speech in Germany that has called the attention of most Nigerians.

In an interview with one of the correspondents of Mynaijland. Mr. Jeremiah Chabo expressed his
thoughts over the reaction made by President Muhammadu Buhari concerning over his wife
allegations. Mr Buhari was quoted saying my wife belongs to the living room, kitchen and the other
room. Mr Jeremiah summarized his thoughts in these four points:

1.       Lack of discipline:
As the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, there should be that carefulness
and watchfulness over what you say especially during an interview. Those comments shows that Nigeria has a president with a lack of discipline and self – control. Although, Nigerians were later clarified that it was a joke but I think it’s not everything a president is to joke or be jovial about considering his political position as the millions of Nigerians are looking up to him.
2.       Nigeria was disgraced:
The president made those remarks seated just by German chancellor Angela Merkel during his visit to Germany. On her face, you could see shock and surprised as she stared at him. Nigerians as a whole was disgraced not in Nigeria but as far away as Germany.
3.       Downgrading the women wing:
The obvious meaning of the president’s comments is that Mrs Aisha Buhari had made a mistake by stepping out of her boundaries to air out her views on his administration so far. This has a negative effect in all the girls in our nation. This mediocre ideology that women should be limited to the kitchen only should be debunked. All women should dream big beyond the scope against the women.
4.       Loss of belief in the government:
Following the outrage and monitoring the reactions from Nigerians nationwide, you will observe that there is that loss of trust in the present administration. Majority of the views of Nigerians portrays a lack of satisfaction and pleasure in the government. It’s high time this administration stands up to fulfill its campaign promises and live up the expectations.
