Real madrid becomes first team to win the CL back to back

Zinedine Zidane has become the first coach since Arrigo Sacchi in 1990 to win the competition in successive years, as his team triuumped over Juventus by 4-1.

Real Madrid put the club in the  history history books as they became the first team to win back-to-back European Cups since the Champions League era began in 1992-93.


Christiano Ronaldo's double and another from Casemeiro with a late goal from Asensio secured the CL trophy for Madrid.

Mario Mandzukic equalized before halftime to level the score then at 1-1 with a brilliant acrobatic effort but Madrid were too powerful for the Italian champions.

Juan Cuadrado was sent off in the closing stages for clashing with Sergio Ramos as the match was approaching stoppage time.
