GOVERNOR BEN AYADE ORDERS THE IMMEDIATE RESUMPTION OF CRUTECH (SEE DETAILS)
Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has ordered that Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) should resume academic activities immediately.
This was stated through the state's Commissioner of Education, Kr Godwin Ettah during a chat with Maurice Inok of HIT 95.9 FM Calabar, on "the hit breakfast show" in the early hours of today.
It would be recalled that the university's management earlier announced an indefinite closure of
the institution yesterday, following what was been described as an unruly protest by somte students, during the commencement of first semester examination.
The protest followed the university
management's enforcement of an earlier notice that only students who
owe not more than a semester's fees are
eligible to sit for the examination.
Meanwhile, it is still relatively unclear if staff and students of the university would immediately resume as directed by the state government.
