Death is reported of the Ag. Dean of Faculty of Dentistry in Unical, Dr. Godwin Bassey from Aparabong.

Some reports are linking his death to the increasing death rate in Unical these few days as staff of unical have never had it so rough in terms of staff welfare in the history of the existence of University of Calabar.

Unical staff have been paid deducted salary for more than a year now. Those promoted have not been paid allowances for two to three years after promotion. Most staff cannot meet up their health and other requirements because of poverty
