The great students of the federal university of Agriculture makurdi popularly called great makurdians today in their numbers matched around makurdi town for a peaceful awareness for the fourth coming Nigerian Universities games (NUGA).
The 25th anniversary NUGA games is scheduled to officially kick off on the 19th of April,2017, at Federal university of Agriculture makurdi sport complex.
The awareness which started with the students assembling at CTS junction , south core around 10am and later matched to the academic office at north core for an address by the vice chancellor prof Emmanuel Iornumbe kucha.
The students departed the school premises after the VC's short address , around 11am singing songs and displaying writings on cardboard papers like, support NUGA 2017, be part of NUGA 2017, come for NUGA 2017 , we must host and carry and many others to mention.
Below were the areas reached by the students.
1 From School to SRS junction.
2 SRS junction to wurukun.
3 Wurukun to railway.
4 railway to high level.
5 High level to police headquarters.
The movement continued till the students rounded the town, no violence or problem recorded during the awareness .
The awareness was successful and the students returned back to campus around 3:30pm.
