Two communities in GUMA Local Government Udaaya and Mbanoughul in Nyiev Council ward engage in a battle today with each others killing 5
persons and leaving many other injured and several houses burnt down.
Details of what led to the incident are quite sketchy but sources that spoke to This Day Watch reported that
” The district head of Nyiev ward , Chief
Bernard Shaw along with his kindred head had allocated some portion of land to udaaya , upon the development of the land, Mbanoughul people claimed their ancestors were buried on the land and can not afford to sit and watch other people claim the land which the
Lord God of their ancestors had freely given to them.
