2016 produced a lot of sporting moments but mynaijland is asking you what was your sporting moments of 2016. We compiled three sporting moments we regard as our top three sporting moments. Drop your comment, is there any moment we ommited?
1) Leicester winning the premier league
It is going to take quite a long before we see such magic being produced. A team who barely managed to survive the season before comes suddenly and blows all teams away to take the premier league. By this time last year, the question on everyone's lips were "will Leicester surprise us?" and yes they did
2) RONALDO WINNING THE BALLON D'OR FOR THE FOURTH TIME
Christiano Ronaldo won the 2016 ballon d'or for the fourth time in his career. He beat competition from Lioniel Messi of Barcelona and Antoine Griezman of Athletico madrid to win the accolade.
3) RIYAD MAHREZ WINNING THE PFA PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Algerian Riyad Mahrez became the first African to win the PFA player of the year following Leicester wonder season. The algerian was very instrumental and pivotal throughout the season as Leicester lost just thrice throughout the season.
